Fresh Blue Ink policy on AI use

Here at Fresh Blue Ink we create fiction unassisted by any LLM or AI technology. All our fiction is directly created by a actual human.

Artificial Intelligence seems a misnomer. Perhaps what we have is better termed Simulated Intelligence, as this technology mimicks the output of an intelligence, but in actuality, possesses none. It should also be noted that current AI all invariably suffer information gaps, ethics gaps, perspective gaps, and hallucinations.

Having written this, it is time to admit we do use AI, but NEVER to write, only to produce images for publicity purposes, and also to prompt or inform our human book cover designers. The publicity image for our 2025 book fair was generated via a free trial of the OpenAI image generator.

Our readers can rest assured that Fresh Blue Ink would never try to pass off stochastic semi-digested textual regurgitation as the original, creative work of an individual.
